Michelle retired from an eighteen year teaching career as the director of the dance department at Kearns High School in Utah.  She also spent several years in the private sector earning recognition and awards for her choreography and creative work.  As an advocate for the Arts, Michelle has directed and facilitated several notable community concerts and charitable events.  Michelle’s philosophy as an educator has always been to explore learning through a creative lens, and where possible, insert humor.  Her success at making learning fun has earned her several outstanding teaching awards.

Michelle graduated from the University of Utah with a Bachelor of Science and attained her Master’s of Arts in Teaching from the University of Puget Sound in Washington. Michelle has spent the last few years living in the beautiful Colorado mountains where she researches, writes, and creatively analyzes on the topic of aging.
